Chelsea v Tottenham: Key battles to watch out for

Premier League addicts are set for another exciting weekend as Chelsea slug it out with Tottenham for a place in the final against either Arsenal or Manchester City. This is certainly not a title decider but the outcome of this game may send shivers down the spine of whoever is knocked out as the title race is now between the two London rivals.

Chelsea had enjoy a good run of form in the League until their recent defeats to Crystal Palace and Manchester United that have left them a tad confidence-ridden. Whilst the LilyWhytes have won their last seven games in the League, they will be exuding more confidence going into this semi-final tie at Wembley. We take a swipe at some key battles which may take place during the game.

N’Golo Kante vs Dele Alli

Kante’s rise to prominence in football was sudden. Before his move to Leicester City, the 26-year-old was playing in the third tier of French football but he led the foxes to the title and he is the go-to man for Antonio Conte. Kante will be saddled with the enormous duty of silencing the very potent Delle Alli – for Tottenham, Alli has become a key attacker, he’s scored two goals in two appearances in the FA Cup and the battle between him and kante promises to be intense and exciting.

Victor Wanyama vs Eden Hazard

Arguably the best player in the Premier League, Eden Hazard is a difficult player to stop. He’s been enjoying his best form in the League this term. Although Chelsea have other players doing well, but the Blues’ result are most dependent of Hazard. Wanyama is probably the most effective man-marker in the League, his tough tackles and energy will come handy. If he can take-out Hazard like he did when Tottenham beat Chelsea in the League, he’ll have rendered the attack of Chelsea impotent.

Harry Kane vs David Luis

The pace, Power and precision of Harry Kane could present a huge trouble for David Luis. Despite the fact that he was banjaxed with injury earlier in the season, he has scored 20 goals in the League but he could be licking his lips when faced with Luis. David Luis biggest weakness is his desire to attack, he may have to sit back in  defense and be on his man Harry Kane.

The matche promises to be a game for the neutrals and with the touchline fireworks from both managers, a title decider may be in the offing. Few would bet against it
