There is a very popular cliche in European football that says Real Madrid always gets their man and this could play out to be true if reports making the rounds are anything to go by.
According to the Starsport, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has sanctioned a Los Blancos deal for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
Hazard has been a player admired by the manager of the Santiago Bernabeu outfits and it is only a matter of time before he makes a switch. Hazard was heavily linked with a move to Madrid last summer but no offer was made for the player.
Zinedine Zidane is wary of a possible and sudden decline of Christiano Ronaldo who has passed the twilight of his career and he believes a marquee signing in the mold of Hazard will bolster his otherwise very potent attack, report Dario Gol.
The report claims Perez had stalled on the request of Madrid to sign the player but he has now agreed a move for the La decima holders.
Chelsea have also been heavily linked with a move Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, Madrid could use Morata as the bait in swap deal involving Hazard.
Hazard has been in blistering form for Chelsea this season and it will be fool hardy to let the best attacking player leave. However, in the modern transfer market, money has played a key role in seeing players move from one Club to another.
The Belgian international has scored 16 goals for the Blues in all competition.
