Chelsea to complete £35m transfer of shot-stopper, player desperate for move

GFN reportedly early that David Luis is considering leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid in the January transfer window. Chelsea have a battle at hand of keeping some players as latest reports have indicated Thibaut Courtois is desperate to switch Stamford Bridge for the Santiago Berbabeu.

Since the departure of Iker Casillas, Real Madrid have been looking for a player that will be his long term successor and their attempt to sign Man United’s David De Gea in 2015 ended up futile.

Keylor Navas has relatively done well in-between the sticks for Los Blancos bur Florentino Perez is looking to move the player on. Kepa Arrizabalaga is another player linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and he will cost them a cut price of £17.6million (€20m).

According to Marca, Real Madrid will trigger the release clause of the Atletico Madrid shot stopper but the report further claims the player of Madrid are against the move and instead they want Thibaut Courtois to be signed.

Having spent three years on loan with Atletico Madrid, Courtois wants a return to the Spanish La Liga and he is already setting his sight on a Real Madrid move.

Sergio Ramos is said to be the player agitating for the signing of Courtois as he believes the player has experience and a long way to go in his career.

Courtois will see out his current contract in 2019 and Antonio Conte has revealed that he wants the player to be offered a better deal.

Don Balon claims Courtois will cost about £35m.
