It is understood the Blues are eyeing former club heroes and title winners Michael Ballack and Juliano Belletti.
Club director Marina Granovskaia jumped in as acting head after the departure of former director Michael Emenalo.
It is understood the Nigerian’s departure has disrupted the club’s transfer dealings since January, a factor pointed by an unhappy Conte during his charge at the outfit.
Granovskaia however, looks set to give up the wheels and will appoint Emenalo’s replacement once summer business is concluded.
Roma director Monchi has joined the fray. Chelsea is understood to have in under their radar as a likely candidate for the role, but they will need to fend off interests from Manchester United who are seemingly interested in filing up that same role at Old Trafford and Monchi has emerged as their candidate.
