Álvaro Morata could be on the cards at Chelsea in the summer of 2019 when German Bundesliga star and USA international Christian Pulisic arrives at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are leading the pack to sign the Dortmund star, and while that has been doing the rounds, the latest news according to the Daily Mail, says Chelsea have nailed the jackpot in signing Pulisic.
Chelsea are set to complete the transfer of Pulisic with an announcement looming. Reports in Germany say an announcement has been set for the first week of January.
Pulisic services had been a serious contention between Chelsea and Liverpool, with the latter touted as his probable destination in the summer of next year.
However, given the cloud hanging on Hazard’s future, Pulisic has favoured joining Maurizio Sarri next season.
Dortmund barred a January move to the Premier League since they are just a term away from lifting another Bundesliga title since 2012.
Dortmund said that a move could be agreed “as soon as January”.
Liverpool are known to have registered their interests in the star, but were also pipped by Sarri’s charge, who stooped him first.
The deal agreed for Pulisic is in the region of 60 million pounds according to The Metro. It would be Chelsea’s first confirmed signing if everything goes well.
