AC Milan is reportedly planning a January swoop for Chelsea midfield duo Cesc Fagregas and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Milan have been seriously pounded by injury issues at the middle of the park and could risk losing their spot in the Serie A top four if they don’t beef up their line-up in January.
With that in mind, Gennaro Gattuso is aiming to sign Chelsea centres Loftus-Cheek and Fabregas.
While the later is still contracted at the club beyond 2020, the same cannot be said of Fabregas whose relationship with Chelsea will come to an end in 2020.
Chelsea have refused to negotiate a deal with the 31-year-old as they are willing to let him go next year, despite Fabregas reluctance to leave.
Milan, had previously hinted considering taking Fabregas in as they prepare to beef up things in their midfield. But new reports are surfacing saying the Rossoneri will attempt signing Loftus-Cheek too.
Milan is aware Loftus-Cheek has been a bit-part player for Sarri this season, and an offer to play regular at the San Siro could sweeten the kitty.
Both Loftus-Cheek and Fabregas have racked up 12 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea under their belts, most of it in the Europa League and FA Cup.
