Chelsea will be getting a handful of players off their books when the summer transfer window is open for business.
But the Blues are looking to see if they can lure a few to commit to the club ahead of the summer.
Argentine Willy Caballero is likely to be rewarded by the west Londoners.
According to reports floating about, Chelsea are raring to offer the veteran shot-stopper a new contract. The 38-year-old is the Blues second choice, and has stepped up to the plate a few number of times in place of first choice Kepa Arrizabalaga.
After the breakdown that happened between Sarri and Kepa, a complete meltdown that turned into a horrid eyesore, Caballero may remain in his job as the Blues plan B.
According to the Telegraph, Chelsea were hugely impressed with how the Argentine handled the mishap between Sarri and Kepa.
Also, his professionalism on and off the pitch as earned him plenty of lauded praised. He got many points for his conduct and the Blues board are keen to offer the shot-stopper another contract.
While that is still in the works, Blues will have to have to fill up empty lockers that will be left by the likes of: Victor Moses, Robert Green, Danny Drinkwater and Gary Cahill. It is understood it will stop UEFA and the Premier League from sniffing around the club, and also help secure Caballero for another season.
