Chelsea teen Mason Mount has been tipped as former Blues legend Frank Lampard’s successor at Chelsea and the former attacker is keen on signing the 19-year-old on his first spell as manager at Derby County.
The 19-year-old netted eight times and provided nine assist during his loan spell at top-tier side Vitesse.
Mount’s impressive record last season has won him a lot of admiration in the summer window, as a lot of clubs are vying to get his signature.
The 19-year-old was part of the part of the winning team that won the FA Youth Cup in 2017, and just happened to be the skipper of the team.
The youngster helped Vitesse secure a spot in the Europa League. Nonetheless, Vitesse face a strong competition for his signature should they attempt to bring him in for a longer haul.
Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Sporting Lisbon already have keen interests in the youngster.
English championship sides Norwich City, Queens Park Rangers and Reading want to sign the teen star, but it appears Lampard has emerged has the favourite to pick him up, reports the Telegraph

It is understood the Derby County boss will attempt to pull a few strings at Stamford Bridge to seal a move for the 19-year-old.
Mount was crowned the Eredevisie’s Player of The Year last term for Vitesse.
