The air is a bit tense at the moment at Catalan club Barcelona over the futures of players Ousmane Dembele and Malcolm and time is beginning to melt between their fingers.
It is yet to be seen whether the attacking duo will force a move through after seeing their time on the field restricted since the La Liga went underway.
However, ESPN FC pundit and former Major League Soccer star Alejandro Moreno thinks otherwise.
Dembele has been fielded seven times this new campaign for the La Liga side and has yet to pin down a steady appearance at the club since joining last summer for a record fee.
Malcolm has yet to get a nod of approval to start in the La Liga since joining this summer from French club Bordeaux.
Barcelona were keen on making a summer rush for Chelsea star Willian, but failed to convince Chelsea to let the 31-year-old go, despite tabling more than one bid for the Brazilian.
Willian is still heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, and is likely to join the Champions League favourites in January, after Chelsea slammed the door to his move in July.
Newspaper reads on the imminent switch have claimed a swap deal is involved. Malcolm is reportedly said to be used as a leverage, but Alejandro doesn’t think that will happen, insisting “they are fine at Barcelona,” after a fan suggested “Chelsea should be all over these two.”
Malcom is valued at 45,00 Mill. € according to transfermarkt.
