Chelsea to agree €100m swap deal involving silky Spaniard

Chelsea could agree a swap with Real Madrid involving Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio, according to report.

Hazard sounded out a transfer warning to Chelsea after he asked them to reinforce the squad with top-notch players before he will agree to extend his contract. Hazard is tied to a contract with Chelsea until 2020 and he is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.

This season for Hazard has been unimpressive as he has failed to be consistent in form – however, his poor form has been attributed to the false 9 position Conte has sometimes played him in. Nonetheless, he is still heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, who have retained a strong interest in him since the penultimate season.

According to Birminghammail, Chelsea will allow Hazard fulfill his dream of becoming a Galacticos but on the condition that Asensio is included in a swap deal.

Asensio started the season brightly in the colours of Madrid but at some point in the season, he became a bit-part player but he seem to have found his rhythm again. There is no telling of Madrid would want to part ways with the Spaniard but the lure of playing regularly might affect his decision.

Antonio Conte fate in Chelsea is hanging in the balance but his future will become clearer after their FA Cup clash with Manchester United this Saturday.

Hazard is valued at €100m according to transfermarkt.
