Chelsea to agree deal for the transfer of striker – not Giroud

Tammy Abraham is one of the best crops of players to emerge from Chelsea. The on-loan striker currently at Championship side Aston Villa is catching the eye at German side RB Leipzig following an outstanding 21 goal tally at Villa Park this campaign.

Abraham joins the shortlist of Chelsea players who are seriously targeted by foreign clubs.

First picks have been Eden Hazard and Tammy Abraham, the latter who was aggressively hunted by Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga saw four bids put down by the Premier League side the last of them being around 45 million pounds.

As for Abraham, RB Leipzig are looking to table a bid of 20 million pounds as touted by reports. His goal scoring spree at Aston Villa is difficult to gloss over and there have been speculation over his exit which have fattened over time.

It is impossible to say if Blues will sanction the sale of Abraham to the German side. Chelsea are due to be punished for flouting UEFA rules on players transfer. And while that is just about in the wings, Chelsea could recall the Englishman since delivering impressively for Villa. Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in the 21-year-old striker’s services. But a repeat of the rife between Chelsea and Bayern could happen in this case given the huge talent Abraham possesses.

Chelsea host Dynamo Kiev at Stamford Bridge on Thursday in the Europa League round-of -16 tie.
