AS Monaco are trailing away at the French Ligue One. Thierry Henry’s side have won just three out of 13 matches since the Arsenal legend took the helm in October.
The French club are on the brink of relegating with the first half of the season already nearing its end.
Henry is keen on flipping the club’s misfortunes when he dives into the transfer market in January. Former Arsenal teammate, now Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas is on the Frenchman’s target-list.
Henry needs someone who packs plenty of experience under his belt and believes his Arsenal pal can come up with the goods at Monaco.
Fabregas is counting his time at Chelsea. The 31-year-old will exit CFC soon after Chelsea refused to extend his contract. Not only that, the Spaniard, despite making appearances in the League Cup for Chelsea, hasn’t gotten plenty of nods to play in the Premier League for Chelsea.
Maurizio Sarri would rather have Jorginho dictate play and have N’golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic flanked on either sides of the Blues centre.
It turned out, Fabregas is loathing over the idea to keep him benched in big games and is happy to leave Chelsea after a blossoming affair under former boss Antonio Conte last season.
