Filipe Luis is deemed to leave Atletico Madrid at the end of the season. The Madrid outfit is out hunting for his long-term replacement already. Chelsea target Elseid Hysaj has emerged their best pick in the transfer window.
The Napoli defender has long been linked with a move to Chelsea since Sarri left Naples, forcefully grabbing Jorginho along with him to west London.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly blocked the move following Chelsea abhorrent behaviour over Sarri and Jorginho’s transfer.
Now, news peddling around say that former La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are now chasing after Hysaj’s services.
Atleti already have Luis Hernández as backup for Luis who is 34, but boss Diego Simeone is likely to push him to the centre, as they prep themselves up to lose Diego Godin who is ready to join Inter Milan at the end of the season.
Hysaj’s agents has admitted the player’s desires to leave and join Sarri at Chelsea, and talks is still on going. But with Atletico Madrid now in the picture, his price valuation which is around 45 million pounds could go up a few notches.
With Atleti joining the race for the versatile Albanina full-back, Chelsea will need to buckle their shoes tighter as they enter a new bidding war.
