Chelsea to agree deal for Liverpool prime target

Chelsea are said to be weighing in on a deal for France international and Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir, according to reports.

The French star won the admiration of several top-flight European teams following his impressive display for club last season. Liverpool reached agreement to sign him in the summer but the move was scuppered after an issue arose during his medical.

He was reportedly battling with a knee injury but that did not stop him from being called up to the French national team by Laurent Blanc.

This term, Fekir has retained his form and he is very much wanted by the European big wigs. According to reports by Readbundesliga, Chelsea are in pole position to seal a deal for the star. Bayern Munich are also said to be in the running for his signature.

The Blues bolstered their squad in the summer but they were able to sign only two outfield players. Sarri  is looking to sell Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater but he would not do so without signing a replacement for them and it appears as though Fekir could be signed in the stead of one of the aforementioned stars.

Chelsea will spend nothing short of 50m euros to be able to land the star.
