Chelsea to agree deal for €70m-rated star wanted by Man United

Brazilian full-back Alex Sandro has been under-performing since the resumption of the Serie A league from the mid-season break in January. Sandro seems to have lost his defensive abilities as opponents always find joy while attacking through his position.

It is believed that the Blues’ €70million offer for his service during the previous transfer market was responsible for his declining form, and according to Turin media outlet Tuttosport, the player might be suffering from emotional depression after failing to switch to the Stamford Bridge before the end of the last transfer market.

Despite the player’s lack of form, the Blues remain keen on his signature and they are preparing another eye-catching offer for the Brazilian in the summer. Antonio Conte is a longtime admirer of the Old Lady’s left-back who is also linked with a Manchester United move.

Meanwhile, Marcos Alonso could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window as José Mourinho is set to launch a shock move.

Having successfully poached Nemanja Matic from the Blues last summer, the Portuguese manager believes he stands another chance to sign the Spanish left-back ahead of the 2018-19 season.

United left-back Luke Shaw could be heading out of Old Trafford in the summer after being criticised by Mourinho. Mourinho is, therefore, in desperate search of a capable replacement, and he believes Marcos Alonso will seamlessly fit into his plans for next season.
