Chelsea to agree deal for €23m-rated most wanted Arsenal target, player wants move

With the January transfer window fast approaching, we expect the Premier league to be the busiest and biggest spenders in the window.

Germany international and Schalke 04 midfielder Leon Goretzka has refused to sign an improved contract with his club and he is currently on the transfer radar of several Premier league clubs, according to report.

His impressive displays for his club has not gone unnoticed in Europe. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are heavily linked with a move for the star but Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool are also in a transfer tussle for his signature. However, reports have claimed that Chelsea are frontrunners for his signature.

The 22-year-old midfielder is a regular starter for his team and it is highly unlikely that he will get regular game time if he joins Chelsea. The presence of N’golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko and even Cesc Fabregas may see him being played from the bench.

Meanwhile Arsenal have been long linked with a move for the star and it is said that the presence of his former teammate Sead Kolasinac would be enough to lure him to the Emirates. Arsenal are looking to offload Mesut Ozil and Goretzka could be the perfect replacement for his transfer bound compatriot.

It is not a matter of if but when Goretzka is ready to move, he is sure to end up in the Premier league as confirmed by Germany’s general manager, Oliver Bierhoff.

He is valued at 23,00 Mill. €
