Guinea international Amadou Diawara, 20, has appeared as a possible replacement for N’golo Kante at Chelsea with increasing concerns over the Paris native’s future at the club.
The Frenchman has shown up in Paris Saint-Germain watchlist and there are strong indications he could be lured out of Stamford Bridge this summer.
Paris United claim Chelsea plan to snap up the Napoli midfielder in order to fill up Kante’s position should French champions PSG come for the 27-year-old.
There are reports linking the Chelsea man to the French capital and rumours that Paris Saint-Germain are lining up £70 million as a bait for the midfielder.
It is understood that Chelsea are deeply keen on avoiding a gap in their midfield should Kante leave the club for Parc des Princes, hence, a summer move for Diawara is likely to happen.
Diawara has been playing football in Italy since 2014, before joining the Naples in 2016 after switching from Serie A rivals Bologna.
The 20-year-old is not the only target the Blues are eyeing from Napoli. They have been linked to former Naples boss Maurizio Sarri after reports revealed he was considered as Conte’s successor. So far, talks between both parties have been stalled and there are indications he may not get the job this summer.
Transfermarkt values the 20-year-old at 18,00 Mill. €.
