Chelsea to agree £40million deal for the transfer of Arsenal and Man United target

Juventus have shown interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and are ready to offer the Premier League champions £40 million for the player.

The Serbian was impressive for the Blues last season, forming a formidable partnership with N’Golo Kante in the middle of the pack for the Premier League Champions. But Antonio Conte sees a better player in Tiemoue Bakayoko who joined the London club from Ligue 1 champions Monaco.

The arrival of the 22-year-old has pushed Matic towards the exit door at Stamford Bridge and he has been linked to Arsenal in a swap deal for Alex Chamberlain and  a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Matic and Mourinho worked together at Chelsea and he is a prime target for the Red Devil’s boss, with the Portuguese boss keen on having him in his midfield. But with Chelsea not willing to sell to Manchester United, Juventus want to take advantage of that to lure Matic to Turin.

Matic, alongside Diego Costa, will be left out of the team that will travel for their pre-season tour to China and Singapore on Monday for them to finalise on their future.

Inter Milan are also interested in the midfielder but a move to Juventus looks more likely to happen, with Chelsea also in talks with the Italian champions over the transfer of wing back Alex Sandro for £60 million.

Kurt Zouma will not also travel with the Chelsea team on Monday so as to complete his loan move from the club, with Stoke his possible destination.
