Chelsea to activate release clause of Spanish playmaker

Chelsea have been handed a huge boost in their quest to sign their target Suso, this is according to emerging reports.

Maurizio Sarri is looking to bolster his attacking line and he has set his sight on signing AC Milan winger Suso, who has been impressive for the San Siro outfit since the start of the season.

The Spanish attacker failed to establish himself in the first team of Liverpool and he was sold to AC Milan in the January of 2015. The star has increased his stock since then.

His current contract with AC Milan will run until 2022 but a report by Sportwitness has claimed that his release clause can be activated in the January transfer window.

The Spaniard would be allowed to leave in a fee believed to be in the region of €38million and €40million as further claimed by the reports.

Real Madrid are said to be frontrunners for his signature but Blues can as well sign him at a discounted price when the January transfer window comes alive.

Chelsea registered their interest in the player in the summer but the deal fell through. And now, the agent of the star has sat at table with Milan in a bid to remove the clause in his deal.
