Chelsea slided further down the Premier League log when they were pipped on Wednesday by Wolverhampton in the Molineux ground.
The Blues were thumped 2-1 on the night, leaving them 10 points adrift leaders Manchester City in the Premier League.
Fans smell fears and are keen on knowing if the club will dip their resources in the transfer market in January.
Maurizio Sarri had earlier hinted he would not step in the transfer market to beef up the Blues squad after they lost to Tottenham at Wembley a fortnight ago.
However, reports doing the round have linked Chelsea with a move to sign Napoli’s Hysaj Elseid in January.
The Blues attempted to lure him out of the outfit, just like they baited Jorginho in the summer, but the Italian outfit rescinded the move.
The right-back is one of the best in the Italian Serie A and a move to still prise him away from the Naples club is still in the offing.
Napoli thwarted his move in the summer, but it is unlikely they would block a possible move away from the club in the January transfer window.
His agent Mario Giuffredi has not ruled out the possibility of a move in January. Giuffredi told Calciomercato, “The player could go away. It is not said that he stays in Naples, everything can happen, even if he goes away in January.”
