Chelsea are reportedly in in talks with former Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel over a possible move to Stamford Bridge in the summer. The Blues are reportedly set to show Antonio Conte the exit door by the end of the season after his team’s unimpressive form throughout the season as they currently occupy the fifth position in the Premier League table.
In their bid to find the Italian’s replacement ahead of next season, the Blues have reportedly held talks with former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique and former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Against major transfer rumors which suggest that the Blues have reached agreement with Luis Enrique, Chief Football Writer at German media outlet Bild, Christian Falk reports that the Blues are now considering moving for Thomas Tuchel who is also being tracked by Arsenal as Arsene Wenger’s replacement in the summer.
After replacing Jurgen Klopp as Dortmund’s manager in 2015-16 season, Tuchel didn’t do much in terms of trophies especially in his last season at the club where he finished in an unexpected position. In his two-year reign as the Bundesliga club’s manager, Tuchel won the DFB German Cup in his first season. He was also the runner-up in the same competition in his second and last season before being sacked by the club hierarchies.
Arsenal were the first to make their intention over the manager’s signature known as they hope to bring him to the Emirates stadium this summer in place of French manager Arsene Wenger whose days are numbered at the North London club according to BILD.
