Chelsea have held talks with French club Lyon over a potential move for Nabil Fekir, this is according to reports.
Fekir has been one of the standout performers for Lyon ever since he broke into the first team of the side 2013 and he has attracted interest from several clubs.
He was closed to joining Liverpool in a £53 million move before the World Cup last summer but reports claim he had a medical issue and the Reds pulled the plug on his deal.
He even had interviews with the media team of Liverpool but the issues with his right knees was a huge concern for the Reds. He required two operations within a year after rupturing his cruciate Ligament in 2015.
This morning, L’equipe are reporting that Chelsea are now front-runners to sign the playmaker and they have asked Pini Zahavi to use his expertise as an agent to get the deal done.
Zahavi has reportedly met with the representatives of the player and he has held talks with them over Chelsea’s interest in the player.
Fekir’s contract with Lyon is billed to expire at the end of next season and the player has stalled over a signing a new deal with club.
It is widely claimed that he has set his sight on moving the Premier League, and his next footballing destination could be Stamford Bridge.
