Chelsea have advanced talks with Lazio over the potential transfer of versatile full back Davide Zappacosta, this is according to reports.
Zappacosta has seen his stock reduce at Stamford Bridge since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri and he wants out of the club.
He joined Chelsea in the penultimate summer from Torino for a reported £23m but it appears that he would end up in the Serie A.
The 26-year-old still has over two years left on his current deal with Chelsea but Sarri has asked him to leave if he desires the same.
He has featured in 10 games for the Blues this season but his cameos in the Premier League has been for just 18 minutes.
Cesar Azpilicueta has been the player manning the right full back position in a back four set up by Sarri. Meanwhile Alonso has been the favourite for the left back position and unless Zappacosta joins another club, he may not get enough game time.
According to Skysports, the Italian star could seal a £13m move to Lazio with talks going on smoothly.
Victor Moses is also on the exit radar of Chelsea – we are set to see many departures from the Blues.
