Leandro Peredes is reportedly on the verge of joining Chelsea FC this months.
Maurizio Sarri has sounded out he want Cesc Fabregas replaced after the Spaniard joined relegation threatened side Monaco this month.
It is understood the Argentina international has agreed personal terms with Chelsea.
Talks are still dragging between Chelsea and Zenit St Petersburg’s, despite the player nodding to terms that have been marshalled out by Chelsea.
Fabregas’s exit has been a huge blow to the club. Sarri is unhappy over the move, despite giving the approval. With only Jorginho acting as his central midfielder, the Italian wants the deal for Peredes to pick more pace.
Chelsea had looked Peredes’s way after original target Nicollo Barella couldn’t be talked out of staying in Italy with Cagliari.
Adding to that, he is a lot pricier that Paredes which had Blues dumping their interests on his chase in the bin.
However, the Daily Star has peddled reports that Chelsea may nail the deal very soon, despite having two bids shoved away by the club this month.
Peredes looks likes someone who can produce the goods at Chelsea, and getting him would certainly be worth it.
Chelsea are currently fourth in the Premier League this campaign.
