Although the Premier Clubs ended the last summer transfer window as the biggest spenders of Europe but we are yet set for another spending spree as it is given that many top-notch players are already linked with a move to the League.
Chelsea are now front runners in the chase of Brazil and Lazio creative midfielder Felipe Anderson, this is according to reports.
The 24-year-old midfielder joined Lazio from Santos in the summer of 2013 and steady grew in the club as a key player. However, he has featured only 11 times in the League this season, with nine of those cameos coming from the bench.
Known for his technicality and creativity, Anderson is currently on the radar of several European Clubs including Inter Milan, Napoli and Manchester United. Nonetheless, the report has claimed that Chelsea are frontrunners for the player’s signature.
Manchester United were previously linked with a move for the star but given the uncertainty surrounding the future of Marouane Fellaini, they are set to rekindle their interest in the Brazil international.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are currently dissatisfied with the show-off of Cesc Fabregas and Tiemoue Bakayoko, and they have made Anderson a priority target for the upcoming transfer window.
According to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero via the Mirror, the star is valued at €40million and his agent has already been contacted over a potential move.
