Chelsea midfielder reveal why they must sign free-scoring striker

Chelsea need a big boost in their frontline and record summer signing Jorginho, his agent Joao Santos wants Maurizio Sarri to bring over the Argentine Gonzalo Higuain.

Their goal-drought in their front berth stems from the inability of striking duo Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata to find the back of the net.

Both stars have exhibited a drab display since this season went underway, and if Chelsea need to keep up with title holders Manchester City and challengers Liverpool they need to chase after reinforcements and Santos believes snatching Gonzalo Higuain will remedy the situation.

Sarri was keen on signing Higuain this summer from Juventus, but Chelsea halted the process following severe complications in the deal.

Meanwhile, Higuain frowned at the fact that it was only his former boss, (during their spells in Napoli), that was the main driver in the deal and was calling on the club to sign him over.

The 30-year-old is on a season-loan at AC Milan, however his representatives have blown the horn of his availability, urging the Blues to seize the chance in the January window to pick him up.

Gonzalo Higuain is not shy in front of goal, and the achievements he’s racked up under his belt during his time at Napoli, makes him a good fit that should be considered for the frontline berth at Chelsea.

‘I do not know [about Higuain at Chelsea], Jorginho said of Higuain

‘Obviously I am cheering for the Blues. His arrival would give the squad a big boost.’
