Eden Hazard’s rumoured summer exit to join idol Zinedine Zidane at Spanish side Real Madrid could rip the hearts of Chelsea fans apart.
Zidane’s return to the helm as Real’s boss which followed after Santiago Scolari was given the sack could be a pounding worry for Chelsea who are keen as a mustard to keep their prized star.
Real, as per reports have agreed to cough up the £100m valuation Chelsea have slapped on the player, putting Chelsea just right behind the eight ball in the race to hold on to the Belgium captain.
Hazard, 28, cooed about playing for the Frenchman and his return to steer Real back to glory will cause his appetite and desire to leave the west London side to swell.
But Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri has conceded that the player is likely to stay despite the lure to play under his dream manager may be too hard for him to gloss over.
Emerson, like every fan and watcher of the Belgian knows he’s completely on another level one that’s helped him help Blues grind out results in difficult times.
“I personally cannot see him leaving, but you never know in football. Like Chelsea fans, we are afraid that he might leave, I still believe that he will stay and we really want him to stay.” Palmieri said.
Hazard has found the back of the net 13 times this season in the Premier League.
