The hunt for reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window is now full steam ahead.
Talks of Paris Saint-Germain star Adrien Rabiot angling a move away from Parc de Princes has been plastered on many news outlets.
It is understood that fresh talks to draft an extended deal for the 23-year-old collapsed despite previous chains of meetings between Paris Saint-Germain and the player’s representatives.
The Parisian giants are roped in a difficult situation as they could be set to lose the midfielder to Premier League giants Liverpool.
Liverpool have reportedly registered their interest in the winger and are said to have progressed in talks with the player’s representatives over his move to Anfield.
But reports milling about say rivals Chelsea have joined the fray. French publication L’Equipe believes the Blues are keen on the troubled star.
Rabiot whose price tag is estimated at 40 million euros is also wanted by Mancunians Manchester City.
The winger was heavily touted with a move to join La Liga champions Barcelona last summer, but Paris Saint-Germain adamantly cut the ropes on that transfer.
Rabiot will be allowed to talk to interested suitors in January when the winter window is flung wide open. However PSG head coach and German international Thomas Tuchel revealed he would regret his exit from the club. The former Dortmund boss stated ‘I love working with Rabiot.”
“I really like Adrien, he had a difficult situation…but his effort with the team has been maximum, he has not missed any training.”
