Chelsea are currently leading the race to sign former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique after the Spaniard rejected a move to Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain, this is according to report.
Since calling time on his career with Barcelona, Enrique has been on sabbatical but there are indications that he wants to return to the round leather game, with Chelsea and Arsenal heavily tipped to be his next footballing destination.
Arsene Wenger is experiencing his worst spell as the manager of Arsenal and reports were rife at the start of the year that he will retire at the end of the season. Former Borrussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel was thought to be the man targeted by the Gunners as replacement for Wenger but Catalan newspaper claims he will take over in PSG, while they do not think Enrique will join Arsenal.
According to the report, Chelsea looks like the most probable next destination for Enrique since PSG have gotten Tuchel and Enrique does not want to join Arsenal.
Antonio Conte has admitted to failing Chelsea this season and it is generally believed that Roman Abramovich will relief him of his post at the end of the season. Although, several top-notch managers have been lined up as replacement for Conte, Enrique looks like the man wanted by the proprietor of the Blues.
