Hazard has been very skeletal in Chelsea’s method of play and has been pivotal in helping the Blues nick crucial wins over opponents since the new Premier League season went underway.
But his future at the club remains up in the air as the 27-year-old is yet to pen down a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
It is understood Hazard is stalling a new contract deal to play for Spanish galaticos Real Madrid. The former have been huge admirers of the Belgian ace and were heavily linked with a move for the sterling 27-year-old this summer. But the move never materialised. Real Madrid need a spark that can reignite their zest for winning again and Hazard is the pick of the bunch.
It is understood the Blues are aware that losing Hazard without finding his replacement could wreck their plans of challenging for the Premier League title, should he chose to run down his contract.
Watford’s Roberto Pereyra has emerged top of their wish-list of targets to replace the incredible Belgian.
Talks bandying in the Blues fortress–Stamford Bridge–hinted the 27-year-old is closely watched.
Prising him out of Watford will not come cheap however, revealed a close source to TEAMtalk. He will command a ‘hefty sum’, disclosed the source, and Watford is unlikely won’t get in the way.
Pereyra has racked up five goals in 11 games this season, riding on the back of good luck from five goals last term.
