Chelsea have been tipped to pip AC Milan in the race to sign Barcelona’s Denis Suárez in January.
The Blues are reportedly ahead of their Italian counterparts in the chase for the Spanish midfielder and are raring to sign him in January.
Suárez has been a fringe player for the Catalans this season, racking fewer games under his belt.
The 24-year-old is in his second spell and has made less than five appearances for the La Liga giants this season.
It is understood the midfielder is frustrated over his lack of game time and he is desperate to get more field appearances.
Chelsea have been linked with a permanent move for Suárez and that has caught the attention of Barcelona who remain keen on offloading Ousmane Dembele and recouping money from his buy to acquire his replacement and other targets, to bolster their squad.
Milan are also interested in Suárez, but the Italian giants are considering a loan option on their cards.
Barcelona prefer an exit for Suárez, putting Chelsea immediately on the right course to acquire his services in January.
Suárez is reportedly valued at £45 million. He has also been linked with local Premier League rivals Arsenal too.
