FA Cup winners Chelsea have been named favourites to land former Barcelona B youngster Adama Traoré.
According to The Yorshire Post, the 22-year-old Middlesbrough right-winger has been eyed by the Blues and other Premier outfits in the past. With Middlesbrough missing out at a shot in the Premier League, it is understood that they may be willing to cash in on some of their players this summer, Traoré inclusive.
Chelsea are believed to have been keeping keen eyes on the midfielder since his Aston Villa days. Though the Spain international has been strongly linked to Stamford Bridge in the past, he showed no real intentions to move to the West London outfit.
Under the tutelage of Smoggies manager Tony Pulis, the 22-year-old has showed great signs of improvement prompting Chelsea to renew their interests in the player.
The former Aston Villa man could easily be baited to Stamford Bridge after the Smoggies finished two places below third position in the Championship.
Following this outcome, the 22-year-old may be pressured to seek game time elsewhere and Stamford Bridge could be his next club for the sake of salvaging his career.
With the reigning FA champions as favourites, they have been informed the bid for the winger is at £15 million.
