It is no secret that Manchester United are interested in signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, but Chelsea have now entered the race for the player’s signature, according to report.
Ivan Perisic has been on the transfer radar of Man United from the opening of the transfer window but their offers to sign the attacker has been meted with outright rebuff.
The San Siro giants have been playing hardball on the player’s transfer as they even asked United to add Martial in a swap deal for Perisic but it appears that Jose Mourinho has given up on the hope of signing the attacker.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte has received tongue-lashes for the shambolic start to Chelsea’s league campaign and he has been forced to bolster his squad.
The Blues squad is somewhat thin following the exit of seven players including Nemanja Matic and Nathan Ake, and this is even restricting the 12 players that have been sent on loan.
However, Conte has added on four players to his otherwise thin squad but The Times reckons that Ivan Perisic has become a top target for the Blues.
Conte is looking to add one or two wing back players to provide options to Moses or Alonso on the flank but injuries to Pedro and Hazard has exposed the attack of Chelsea. Perisic can play in the stead of the aforementioned players but he may not come cheap.
Inter Milan have valued the star at £48million.
