Premier League activities have taken another huge rush as we roll into the festive period. The long stretch of matches to be played over the period will knacker most teams out, but Chelsea’s boss Sarri says there’s a silver lining in that buzz of activity.
The Italian tactician also claimed Chelsea are willing to offer player Eden Hazard a £300,000-per-week deal should the 27-year-old consider committing for the long term.
Talks to keep Hazard in the outfit have dragged on for weeks according to Sarri. Hazard is still ruminating over accepting Chelsea’s bumper package or joining Los Blancos in the summer of 2020 when he would have seen his contract out.
The Belgian ruled out a move in January, but hasn’t waved off thoughts of completing a move to Spain to play for Real Madrid.
Everybody in the club would love to see him tie his future down at the outfit, including Sarri.
However, Sarri remarked that he would not be coerced against his desires and would prefer he stayed if those are the 27-year-old’s wishes.
Negotiations are still ongoing, putting fans on the edge of their seats as they anticipate the good news of a signed deal by the playmaker.
