Chelsea done deal announced for 24-goal star, Gonzalo Higuain medical on Tuesday

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed Chelsea have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Alvaro Morata.

The Blues have decided to offload Morata and the Spaniard has not be short of suitors. He drew interest from the Spanish La Liga but it appears that Los Rojiblancos have won the race for his services.

Consequently, Chelsea have been chasing Gonzalo Higuain, who is expected to join before the close of the window as a replacement for Morata.

Romano has delivered an update on Chelsea’s transfer where he claimed Morata’s move to Madrid is done.

“Morata from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid is a done deal. Confirmed. Here we go!” Romano tweeted on Monday morning.

He was also quizzed about Higuain’s move to Chelsea and he added:

“Done deal too. Higuain will be Chelsea player mate… 101%” Romano added.

Chelsea lost to Arsenal over the weekend and it was apparent that “Sarri-ball” is ineffective because of the lack of a striker.

Higuain is due to arrive London for medicals ahead of completion of the move.
