Manchester United and Chelsea have both been credited with interest for Germany and RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, this is according to reports.
The 22-year-old forward has so far had a blistering campaign in the Bundesliga this term – he has scored six goals in 10 games for the German club, with several top European clubs already monitoring his progress.
He joined Leipzig in the summer of 2016 from VfB Stuttgart, ever since, he stock has increased significantly. The Youngster is one of the brightest attacking prospect in the Bundesliga and it may not be long before he is prised away from the club.
The long term future of the player is up in the air, as claimed by Sportwitness and several clubs have queued up for his signature.
Of course the Bundesliga clubs have been noticing his performance – Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are said to be in the running for his signature.
However, United and Chelsea are in dire need of a striker and they have taken a look at the German star.
United failed to bolster their frontline in the summer and they are now looking to sign a player that will compete with Romelu Lukaku.
Meanwhile Chelsea have two strikers in Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata but these players have failed to deliver. The Blues are said to be in the search of a pointman.
