Premier League Champions Chelsea are in pole position to sign in-demand Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic, according to reports.
Pulistic joined Dortmund in the February of 2015 and he was sent to their U19 squad but after finding the back of net 10 times and providing eight assists, he was given a call up to the senior team of the Signa Iduna Park outfit.
The American star has continued to shine but the Dortmund are willing to offer him as makeweight in order to get Michy Batshuayi to sign a permanent deal.
Batshuayi joined Chelsea in the January transfer window but he has already hit the ground running with five goals in three games. Reports have indicated that Dortmund wants Batshuayi on a permanent deal and they are willing to pay £57m for the forward.
According to the Express Sport, Chelsea will not allow Batshuayi leave without making a move for Christian Pulistic.
However, the Blues will have to slug it out with Liverpool and Manchester United, who are also heavily linked with a move for the impressive midfielder.
Manchester United are currently looking for a replacement for Michael Carrick while the uncertainty over the future of Emre Can has prompted Liverpool to be in the search for a midfielder.
Although, Pulistic is heavily in demand in the Premier League, he could end up in Chelsea because of Batshuayi.
Pulistic is under contract at Dortmund until 2020 but he is currently valued at £40.50m according to transfermarkt.
