Chelsea will not knuckle under Bayern Munich after the Bavarians submitted an improved 35 million pounds for Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Chelsea youngster has been linked with a move to join the Bundesliga champions after seeing games at Stamford Bridge hard to come by until now.
Bayern had dropped three previous bids on the table for Chelsea to accept, but Blues were reluctant to let him go and were willing to kill the move.
But Callum Hudson-Odoi had threatened to leave the club if they failed to allowed him exit the club.
With that on the plate, Chelsea are weighing Bayern’s option to sign him, however they want to be able to resign.
According to the Times, Chelsea want an option to buy-back the striker. The Blues want that on the cards. But getting Bayern to agree could be a tougher bargain.
Bayern are reluctant about signing that clause and want to sign the 18-year-old on a permanent basis. Chelsea fear they could be losing an enterprising player and that is something they cannot live with, given previous experiences with players such as: Kevin De Bruyne, Mohammed Salah, and Romelu Lukaku.
Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri has called Bayern’s approach to the deal as very unprofessional.
