Chelsea agree £7m-per-year wage for 40-goal in-demand striker

Chelsea are currently in Asia for their pre-season tour as Antonio Conte steps up preparation for his title defense in the upcoming season but the Blues are currently without a first choice striker.

Antonio Conte signed a contract extension with Chelsea on Tuesday but his efforts to make Chelsea’s attack more potent has hit the rocks. He was usurped by Man United to the signature of top target Romelu Lukaku  but he appears to have turned his attention Alvaro Morata, Andre Belotti and Piere-Emerick Aubameyang.

However, report According to the Mirror, claim Chelsea have made Dortmund’s Aubameyang their priority target and they are willing to pay him as much as £7million-per-annum in wages after tax, which will be subject to an agreement for a sign on fee.

Chelsea may have agreed wages for the Gabonese star but Borrussia Dortmund revealed on Tuesday that they will not listen to offers for Aubameyang but Chelsea are yet to test the resolve of the Club to hold on to the player. The 28-year-old is valued at £60m, the same price Chelsea are holding out for Diego Costa following their rebuff of Atletico Madrid’s £26m offer.

Diego Costa is left out of Chelsea’s squad that traveled to the far East after he was informed by Conte that he no longer fits his plans for the upcoming season. This has left the Premier League Champions in dire need of lead attacker.

Chelsea are not the only Club interested in Aubameyang. He is also on the radar of AC Milan and a Chinese Club.

Aubameyang scored 40 goals in all competitions last term and beat Lewandowski to the Bundesliga top scorer’s award.
