Managerial affairs at Stamford Bridge appears to be boiling very hot with too much uncertainty piling up over the future of boss Conte and when he would get the sack, on the other side, if eventually he does and who will be his potential successor.
Conte under-performed for the Blues last term leading them to a fifth place finish, a big slump from his first spell at the club that won him the admiration of fans and the club’s bigwigs, including the Premier League silverware.
However, that spark of genius didn’t show this season, but that has not halted transfer decisions at the club, with reports suggesting Chelsea are eyeing a defender to add to their squad.
According to the renowned Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea are reportedly chasing after the services of Atletico Madrid’s Stefan Savic.

It is understood they will rival Serie A giants Juventus for his signature. But, the Blues appeared to be in a more favoured position to land Savic.
Admired for his composure at the heart of defence, including strong points in blocking and clearing the ball, Savic has helped the Madrid outfit concede more shots and struggles with holding his position in the backline.
Nonetheless, he may be a far cry from what the club needs. But with an aging back-line, Chelsea could use an extra-man.
The player is valued at 40,00 Mill. € according to transfermarkt.
