Chelsea advance talks to sign $51m-rated Man United transfer target

The Premier League fixture for next season will be released later today. As the Clubs find their opponents for the season ahead, they also have their sight in the transfer window.

Chelsea and Man United have a history of transfer window rivalry. The deal for Pedro from Barcelona readily comes to mind – the Spaniard was very close to a move, even agreed personal terms with United, but he opted for a move with the Blues at the behest of Jose Mourinho.

One player is currently in high demand by Man United and Chelsea, and it is France’s and Monaco star midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko. However, report by the Express have indicated that it is the Premier League Champions that are close to wrapping up a deal for the player.

Bakayoko, 22, is among the talented young squad of Monaco that usurped Paris Saint Germain to the Ligue One title. He midfielder did not just impose himself in his team but proved to be one of the best players that played from the middle of the Pack.

Conte like Mourinho is an admirer of Bakayoko and he has identified him as an ideal partner for N’golo Kante ahead of Nemanja Matic. Chelsea will be involved in the Champions League next season and Conte must bolster his squad to remain competitive.

Daily Mirror have claimed that a Chelsea deal is in the offing for the player. The Blues have already offered £40m($51m) for the services of the player and he is expected to slot into the first team of Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Man United have been linked with a move for Nemanja Matic, who will be out of favor at Stamford Bridge.
