While Chelsea are busy celebrating the Premier League title, we may be counting the records the Gunners have already shattered this season and hoping for a fourth place finish. Arsene Wenger beat Jose Mourinho for the first time in the League last week and we won Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium also for the first time since 2003.
Today, we Play Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium, a ground where our last win came in the February of 2010. And we cannot forget that it was on the same night Aaron Ramsey’s leg was broken by a reckless Ryan Shawcross.
That ground has been a difficult place to pick the maximum point but a win for us will put more pressure on Liverpool as they prepare to play West Bromich Albion tomorrow. The race for a fourth place finish will be thrown wide open and be placed in the Gunners hands if Liverpool falters tomorrow.
Arsene Wenger is not expected to tweak the team that won Southampton. We think Koscielny may be back at the heart of defense, while Holding may give way for Mustafi. Reports have indicated that Oxlade Chamberlain is fit but the display of Bellerin should see him remain at right back position.
The Gunners must ensure they are switched on for the entire duration of the game as Champions League qualification may depend on this.
We run a rule on how Arsenal will line up against Stoke City.
