Callum Wilson to Chelsea – Bournemouth makes surprise announcement

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has silenced the noise claiming Chelsea have an interest in striker and England international Callum Wilson.

Wilson had reportedly been picked as Chelsea’s target replacement for a dwindling Alvaro Morata who has failed to justify his huge 65 million pounds price fee splashed on him since joining the English side, by British media.

Morata is subject to transfer move back to former club Sevilla, though Blues and Sevilla have not hammered out a deal for the disappointing striker.

Wilson was lined up as a replacement for Morata since his flagging display couldn’t be fix. But boss Eddie Howe has played down speculations linking the young England striker to Stamford Bridge.

Howe doused the rumours floating about the player’s link to Chelsea, claiming he’s has received no offer for Wilson.

We’ve had no interest in any of our players,’ Howe said ahead of Bournemouth’s clash with West Ham.

‘Everything has just been speculation, which you understand as this is the month for it.

‘From my perspective and the team we have above me, we are always working together to try and find solutions to make the squad stronger and continue to move the team forward.

‘They’re the main things. We’ll do that again, like we have done through the process that we’ve been together, for the benefit of Bournemouth.

Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola had revealed last month that Blues were interested, despite that, no bids have been made. And Howe agrees that with just words floating around,”Everything has just been speculation, which you understand as this is the month for it.”

Chelsea have made a provision for a striker and Gonzalo Higuain is set to complete a move to Chelsea this week from AC Milan.
