Chelsea may have been dealt a heavy blow in their chase for Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson this month.
Blues are desperate to land a striker this month and have reportedly lined up the striker as one of their options.
But the Premier League side have slapped 75 million pounds on the player as they attempt to make it very difficult for Chelsea.
Boss Maurizio Sarri has been playing Eden Hazard through the middle and picked him again for that role in their 2-1 home win over Newcastle.
However, Hazard managed few touches in the area and he looked more lost in that position.
Not until Olivier Giroud and Callum Hudson-Odoi were featured did the Belgium international looked like a real threat after fading for the bulk of the game.
Chelsea also eye Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain after the 31-year-old’s struggling start to life at the San Siro.
Higuain has yet to hit the ground running and is reportedly pursuing a move away from AC Milan.
Higuain has been earmarked as the likely replacement for Alvaro Morata who could be farmed out to former club Sevilla. Nonetheless, Blues won’t halt in their chase to sign Wilson this month and are hopeful they can argue his 75-million-pounds fee down this month.
