Blow for Chelsea as midfield marksman want to leave as early as January

Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater is angling for a move away from Chelsea following a slow start since last season.

Drinkwater’s career at Chelsea has turned sour and the midfielder is utterly enraged about his lack of game time at Stamford Bridge.

Drinkwater managed to rack up some appearances under his belt during Conte’s era, but has added nothing to his previous tally since Maurizio Sarri’s arrival.

His Premier League starts since arriving from Leicester City last year has tallied up to five.

It was understood the Englishman had one foot out the exit door in the summer.

Drinkwater was keen on leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer, but braked on his decisions and decided to remain, hoping he could spin things around in his favour.

But the England international is chained in deep concerns over his future and looks likely to abandoned the FA Cup winners at the turn of the year.

Chelsea are willing to cash in on the 90,000-pounds-a-week midfielder and ready to receive bids in that region.

A string of clubs already have their eyes set on the midfielder. According to the Daily Mail Southampton and West Ham have been credited with interest. Former club Leicester City are also in the fray, claims the same report.
