Blow for Arsenal as powerful striker decides to quit club
England striker who joined Arsenal from Manchester United in 2014 could be ending his stay at the Emirates Stadium in the summer as he has fallen out of favor with Arsene Wenger.
Welbeck is surely a player who could be trusted to score many goals whenever he is fully fit, but his fitness level hasn’t been perfect since he joined the Gunners and that has prevented him from becoming the player whom the Gunners fans want.
With the acquisition of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mktarryan in January, the England’s striker has fallen down the pecking order and he could put an end to his less-impressive Arsenal career by the end of the season.
There have been speculations surrounding his future with Arsene Wenger’s side but the 26-year-old forward could still remain at the club should Wenger or any incoming coach promise him regular playing-time ahead of next season.
Meanwhile, as Arsenal battle fellow Premier League strugglers Brighton on Sunday, former Liverpool player Paul Ince has predicted an easy win for the North London club despite their recent poor run of form which have seen them lose three back-to-back matches.
According to Ince, Arsenal are surely not in their best form but that won’t prevent Wenger’s men from picking up the maximum points at stake after 90 minutes of action.
