Bid tabled: Unai Emery sanction Arsenal deal for silky forward

Arsenal want to beef up their defensive backline with the aim to finish inside the top four.

Roma’s Cengiz Ünder is on the Gunners radar and the north Londoners have reportedly lodged a 55 million pounds bid for the star.

However, Roma has rejected the bid as they consider it way below their price valuation.

The 21-year-old has been lined up by plenty European clubs who are heavily interested in snatching him up this January. But Roma have reminded suitors they are not ready to sell and are willing to keep him.

The youngster winger has racked up six goals and eight assists this term for the Italian outfit and boss Eusebio Di Francesco is adamant to keep him.

Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on signing him. But all interested clubs will have to wait out until in the summer before they can apply for his services.

Arsenal are fifth on the Premier League log and will take on Blackpool in their FA Cup clash. Clashes with Cardiff City, Chelsea are also on the horizon.

Ünder’s availability will definitely bolster their attack on the flanks this season.
