Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham could join Wolverhampton at the Miloneux for the later half of this Premier League season in what could be one of the shockest upsets in the transfer window.
Abraham has had his foot pressed heavily on the pedal and has been extremely lethal in front of goal this season.
The England international tops the scorers’ chart with 16 Championship goals for Villa.
Wolves are hopeful and quite desperate to land him. They have stumped up an 18 million pounds bid in an attempt to lure him to the Premier League and Chelsea have warmed up to the idea.
It is understood Chelsea will gladly trouser the money. The Blues wield the power to terminate Abraham’s deal at Villa and send him elsewhere.
Wolves have been impressive this term against bottom feeders Fulham, and have maintained a robust display against the “top six” in the Premier League.
Abraham’s dazzling display at Bristol City, and now at Villa has Wolves thinking he could add more steam to an already strong frontline.
Villa will be pained to see their best man leave despite promising to lavish him with bonuses should they get promoted into the top flight next season.
