North Londoners Arsenal are planning a move to sign Senegal international and Rennes striker Ismaila Sarr.
Unai Emery will try to prime the pump of a powerful and effective Arsenal frontline.
Emery has urged Arsenal to get additions this summer, however, the Gunners boss will have to look in another direction as he aims to increase the depth in his squad.
The former Sevilla boss confirmed that Arsenal will not take in players this month on a permanent basis, but has not ruled out the move in of loanees.
“We cannot sign permanently,” Emery said. “We can only loan players. Only loan players.”
Nonetheless, plans are already in the offing to bring in reinforcements in the summer. Sarr joins the long queue of players Arsenal are keen to bring in to the Emirates in the summer.
According to reports in France, particularly Le10 Sport, the striker is catching the eyes at the Emirates and Arsenal are considering adding him to their strike force.
Sarr has gone a few notches up at Rennes, netting nine goals in all competitions this campaign, and has an assist tally of six.
Serie A sides Inter Milan and Roma are also interested in the star who moved from Metz for a reported £15.3 million in 2017.
