Bellerin benched, Welbeck starts in probable Arsenal 3-4-2-1 formation vs Tottenham
For the first time in Arsene Wenger’s career with Arsenal, he has gone five games without a win against Tottenham but the crunch tie against Pochettino and his men later today will give him the opportunity to to thump the Lilywhites.
Tottenham are in an unbelievable run of form with eight consecutive win in the League. They close in on the gap between Chelsea and they to keep their title hopes alive, they are just four points adrift Chelsea, who play Everton today.
We sit in sixth position on the table and five points adrift Manchester City in fourth. Albeit we’ll be hoping that the clubs above us on the table drop points, we must win the rest of our fixtures to increase our slim chances of Champions League qualification.
The only new concern we have is Laurent Koscielny, who Wenger said has a 60 percent chance to play today, he has been at the heart of our defense and i’m sure he’ll play. Mustafi, Ospina and Cazorla are still out injured while Perez could be selected after making a return from a long injury spell.
Since the shocking defeat to Crystal Palace, Wenger has resorted to playing with three at the back. He has won the last three games using that system, including a hard fought victory against Man City in the FA Cup.
We expect to see a similar team that started against Man City and this is how they may line-up against Tottenham.
